Bailey Glasser Adds Two Lawyers to its Asbestos & Lung Disease Practice

April 11, 2024: Bailey & Glasser, LLP has added two new lawyers to its national Asbestos and Lung Disease practice group. Of Counsel lawyer Jena Borden will practice in the firm’s Maryville, Illinois office, and Timothy Leckenby is the newest member of the firm's Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office. Both lawyers are highly dedicated professionals who represent individuals who have contracted mesothelioma, asbestosis, and other lung diseases caused by exposure to asbestos.

Asbestos exposure is the largest cause of occupational cancers in the country and a significant cause of other diseases and disabilities. Workers exposed to asbestos include teachers, auto mechanics, military personnel, pipefitters, railroad employees, and many others. Bailey Glasser’s Asbestos and Lung Disease team has decades of experience investigating our clients’ exposure history in order to determine where the exposures occurred and what companies and products were responsible for causing cancer.

Partner D. Todd Mathews, asbestos and mass tort partner and litigator in Bailey Glasser’s Maryville and St. Louis offices stated: “We are excited to have lawyer Jena Borden join our busy asbestos practice. Jena has dedicated over 20 years of her career to protecting people who have gotten sick from asbestos and has led a team in that capacity to help recover millions for victims impacted by asbestos. Her litigation experience in Madison County will undoubtedly be a valuable addition to our Maryville asbestos team.”

Similarly, partner and asbestos litigator Mickey Robb added, “Here in the Pittsburgh office, we spend all of our time fighting for people who have been poisoned by asbestos and other carcinogens.  Many were exposed in industrial settings like steel mills, factories, and power stations.  Others were exposed to asbestos-containing building materials (floor tile, ceiling tile, pipe insulation) inside of schools they attended (K-12, college, and universities). Our clients went to work to put food on the table for their families. They went to school to better themselves. Sadly, the places where they worked or went to school are often so heavily contaminated with asbestos that it is just a matter of time before these people are diagnosed with cancer.  When that happens, we are here to help them get justice. Timothy Leckenby joins a team that’s dedicated to securing justice for these people.”
