Patients At Risk for Hepatitis B, C and HIV After Stress Test Injections at Raleigh Heart Clinic

Over 2,300 patients who had stress tests at the Raleigh Heart Clinic have been notified about a possible exposure to Hepatitis B, C and HIV, according to a news release from the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources Bureau for Public Health.  Many patients have already tested positive For Hepatitis B and C.

Patients with possible exposure received injectable medications administered during a stress test.  These tests took place prior to March 1, 2012.  Patients have been advised of a possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens including Hepatitis B, C and HIV.  Patients are being urged to get tested.

Patients may be entitled to compensation.

Anyone who had a stress test at the Raleigh Heart Clinic in Beckley before March 27, 2015 may be entitled to compensation.   It is important for patients to protect their rights and fight for the compensation they deserve.
