
Overview
Alexandra Calton is a member of our award-winning Mass Torts Practice Group based in our Birmingham, Alabama office. She focuses her practice on representing individuals and class members who have been injured by defective firearms, medical devices, and pharmaceutical drugs, as well as those harmed by institutional negligence. Alexandra brings a tenacious and empathetic approach to her advocacy, grounded in a commitment to justice.
During her early legal career, Alexandra has gained experience in medical device and pharmaceutical drug litigation. Alexandra also represented patients whose protected health information was compromised by data breaches, notably being appointed to serve as Interim Lead Counsel on a national data breach class action affecting 61,000 individuals. Her leadership and results-driven advocacy have earned her national recognition, including repeated honors in The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch (2024-2025) and The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 (2022-2024). Alexandra was also awarded a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Leadership by Alabama Governor Bob Riley.
Alexandra’s dedication to the law was inspired by her family’s legacy of legal service. She was drawn to the profession at an early age by watching her father's zealous advocacy for his legal clients. Alexandra earned her J.D. from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where she was active in student leadership with the Cumberland Sports Law Society, Women in Law Society, and Cumberland Public Interest and Community Service Society. She earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science and Computer Science from the University of Alabama.
Alexandra is a member of the American Association of Justice (AAJ) and previously served on the New Lawyers Division: Publications Committee and the Professional Development Committee in 2023.
