Alexandra Calton Selected as Secretary of AAJ Pharmaceutical & Medical Device Section
Bailey & Glasser, LLP is proud to announce that attorney Alexandra Calton has been selected to serve as Secretary of the American Association for Justice’s (AAJ) Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Section.
Based in our Birmingham, Alabama office, Alexandra is a key member of our award-winning Mass Torts Practice Group. She represents individuals and class members harmed by defective firearms, medical devices, and pharmaceutical drugs, as well as those impacted by institutional negligence. Her tenacious yet empathetic advocacy has already earned her national recognition, including Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch, The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 (2022–2024), and a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Leadership from Alabama Governor Bob Riley.
The AAJ Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Section is dedicated to addressing critical issues involving pharmaceutical products and medical devices, including pharmaceutical and medical devices, orthopedic implants, prescription drug side effects, manufacturer and distributor liability, class actions, multidistrict litigation, and more. This section supports the larger mission of the AAJ, which is to promote justice and fairness for injured individuals, safeguard victims’ rights, strengthen the civil justice system, and provide education and disclosure of information critical to public health and safety.
Alexandra has been a dedicated member of the American Association for Justice and previously served on the New Lawyers Division: Publications Committee and the Professional Development Committee in 2023.
