Attorney Alexandra Calton Joins Mass Torts Practice Group in Birmingham, Alabama

Bailey & Glasser, LLP welcomes Alexandra J. Calton as the newest lawyer in our award-winning Mass Torts Practice Group. Alexandra joins the dedicated lawyers in our Birmingham, Alabama office, which was newly recognized this year by Chambers & Partners in the Litigation, Mainly Plaintiffs category.

Bailey Glasser’s Mass Torts team is dedicated to protecting consumers from dangerous drugs, medical devices, firearms, and other defective products. Frequently called on to lead major cases or serve as trial counsel, our lawyers have played key roles in protecting consumers and survivors in national litigation involving Johnson & Johnson talc products, Taurus firearms, institutional childhood sexual abuse, and 3M combat earplugs. Our work has earned national recognition from Chambers & Partners in the Product Liability: Plaintiffs (USA-Nationwide) category.

Alexandra brings a strong background in litigation, focusing her practice on representing individuals and class members who have been injured by defective firearms, medical devices, and pharmaceutical drugs, as well as those harmed by institutional negligence. Alexandra has a tenacious and empathetic approach to her advocacy, grounded in a commitment to justice.

Prior to joining Bailey Glasser, Alexandra practiced law in medical device and pharmaceutical drug litigation, and also represented patients whose protected health information was compromised by data breaches. Notably, she was appointed to serve as Interim Lead Counsel on a national data breach class action, In re: Medical Center Barbour Data Breach Litigation, on behalf of 61,000 individuals. Her leadership and results-driven advocacy have earned her national recognition, including repeated honors in The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch (2024-2025) and The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 (2022-2024). Alexandra was also awarded a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Leadership by Alabama Governor Bob Riley.

A graduate of the Cumberland School of Law and the University of Alabama, Alexandra is also actively involved in professional and community organizations, including the American Association for Justice, having previously served on several New Lawyers Division committees.
