Former Supreme Court Deputy Counselor Michael L. Shenkman Joins Bailey Glasser
Bailey & Glasser, LLP announces that Michael L. Shenkman has joined the firm as Of Counsel in its Commercial and Environmental Litigation Practice Group in its Washington, D.C. office.
Until last month, Michael was Deputy Counselor to the Chief Justice at the Supreme Court of the United States, having served a decade in the Counselor’s Office.
Earlier in his career, he was Senior Counsel in the Office of Legal Policy of the U.S. Department of Justice, and held staff positions in the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate. He is an adjunct professor at the Georgetown University Law School, and previously taught at Columbia Law School, Yale College, and the University of California Washington Center.
Michael was a law clerk to Judge Robert L. Wilkins of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, and to Judge Kenneth M. Karas of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. He also served as a Supreme Court Fellow.
