Kerri S. Davis

Overview

Kerri Davis is a member of our award-winning Mass Torts Practice Group, where she represents individuals and class members harmed in institutional settings or injured by the harmful conduct of corporate actors. She is a dedicated advocate for abuse survivors and works closely with Bailey Glasser’s litigation teams representing survivors of juvenile sexual abuse in Maryland, Illinois, and other states nationwide.

Kerri brings more than 20 years of trial and appellate experience, having tried numerous jury cases to verdict through skillful advocacy, meticulous preparation, and deep compassion for survivors and their families. Her experience spans both sides of the courtroom, giving her a rare, balanced perspective in high-stakes litigation.

Before joining Bailey Glasser, Kerri served for several years as a prosecutor in St. Louis, litigating some of the region’s most serious crimes, including homicides and cases involving sexual violence against both children and adults, and also worked as an appellate prosecutor, authoring and arguing briefs before the Illinois Appellate Court. Her experience includes serving as First Assistant Public Defender in Madison County, Illinois, second-in-command of the office, where she played a key leadership role and represented individuals facing complex and high-stakes criminal charges.

Kerri’s leadership includes leading trainings for child protection and investigative teams on legal considerations in sexual abuse prosecutions and the implementation of trauma-informed strategies in court. She now draws upon this breadth of trauma-informed representation to advocate for survivors of institutional abuse nationwide.

Her extensive trial work and lifelong commitment to justice have earned her honors, including the Award of Prosecutorial Excellence from the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis.

Kerri earned her J.D. from Southern Illinois University–Carbondale and graduated summa cum laude from Blackburn College with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois.
