UK's Daily Mail Profiles BG Roundup Client Philip Dressel, Quotes Partner David Selby
UK’s Daily Mail profiles Bailey Glasser client Phillip Dressel about his health struggles since being diagnosed with cancer that he alleges was caused by his use of Bayer’s Roundup weedkiller: “I used Roundup weedkiller for years without a thought... now cancer is eating my face': Anguish of former gardener racing for justice against maker of product used by millions.”
David Selby, one of Mr. Dressel’s lawyers, is quoted in the Daily Mail article about a proposed nationwide class settlement of Roundup claims and how the proposed sum under the terms of the class settlement for Mr. Dressel’s claim would barely touch the medical debts Dressel has built up through years of treatment: “'A settlement offer of this nature doesn't even make the question hard,' Selby said. 'It's just not even realistic of what he's been through.'”
Mr. Dressel’s case is currently pending in the Circuit Court of Broward County, Florida. Bailey Glasser recently filed a Renewed Motion for Expedited Trial Date, and this Motion is set for hearing on Wednesday, April 29. An updated medical status letter from Mr. Dressel’s physician reflects his grave health condition. At Wednesday’s hearing Mr. Selby will be requesting an expediated trial commensurate with Judge Bidwell’s trial calendar.
