Wesline N. Manuelpillai

Overview

Wesline Manuelpillai is a trial attorney practicing in Bailey Glasser's Commercial & Environmental Litigation Practice Group and is located in its Washington, D.C. office. Wesline has significant experience litigating complex civil enforcement and commercial disputes in state and federal courts. Drawing on her background in both government and private practice, Wesline represents a broad range of clients at all stages of litigation, from initial pleadings through discovery and trial. She has handled matters involving a wide variety of claims, including breach of contract, trade secrets, and unfair and deceptive trade practices.

Prior to joining Bailey Glasser, Wesline served as a Trial Attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Consumer Protection Branch, where she litigated multi-defendant enforcement actions under federal consumer protection statutes, including the Federal Trade Commission Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and the Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act. In that role, she zealously advocated on behalf of American consumers in high-stakes matters, both in and out of the courtroom, against opposing counsel from the nation’s leading law firms.

Before her government service, Wesline was a litigation associate at a top D.C.-based law firm, where she represented clients in complex commercial and regulatory matters and maintained an active pro bono practice.

Wesline is admitted to practice in Washington, D.C. and New York.  She is a graduate of the Boston College Law School.
