Overview

Rachel Klena is a member of the firm’s Commercial & Environmental Litigation Practice Group, where she is part of collaborative and innovative legal teams team handling litigation for – and against - companies of all sizes, including multinational conglomerates, insurance carriers, energy companies, finance companies, technology behemoths, and more.

Rachel is also part of the Boise office’s sophisticated Agribusiness practice, which serves agricultural producers, suppliers, and other companies involved in farming and agricultural development. The team handles contract disputes, crop loss claims, agricultural chemical liability matters, and other challenges affecting agricultural businesses. Our Boise office is Chambers & Partners ranked in commercial litigation.

Rachel’s commitment to advocacy includes serving people facing difficult personal circumstances. During law school, she interned with Idaho Legal Aid Services, assisting attorneys representing low-income and vulnerable Idahoans in matters involving domestic violence, sexual assault, housing, and senior citizen law. That experience reinforced her belief that effective representation requires strong legal analysis and an understanding of the people and practical concerns behind every case.

Before beginning her legal career, Rachel represented buyers, sellers, builders, and investors in residential, new construction, and investment property transactions. That experience gave her firsthand insight into the negotiations, financial considerations, and competing interests that often underlie commercial disputes. She approaches litigation with an appreciation for her clients’ broader business objectives and the people, investments, and relationships affected by each case.

Rachel earned her J.D. from the University of Idaho College of Law, where she was selected as one of three students to represent the school on its National Moot Court Team. Her team advanced to the quarterfinal round, and she received a Best Oralist award. She also served as treasurer on the Executive Board of the Women’s Law Caucus. Rachel graduated cum laude from Boise State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication.

Outside the office, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family and making the most of Idaho’s outdoors through running and hiking. She also enjoys cooking and traveling.
