Overview
Parav Patel is an associate in Bailey Glasser's Corporate Practice Group. Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and investment transactions, corporate governance, and other commercial matters.
Parav represents buyers, sellers, and investors in domestic and cross-border transactions across the transaction lifecycle, from structuring and negotiation through due diligence and closing. Her transactional experience includes mergers and acquisitions, private placements, preferred equity financings, convertible instruments, and other strategic investment transactions. She also advises sponsors and investors in connection with the formation and operation of private equity and venture capital funds.
Parav maintains an active emerging companies and venture capital practice, counseling startups and growth-stage companies from formation through successive stages of growth. She advises clients on venture financings, including preferred equity rounds, SAFEs, and convertible notes, as well as equity incentive arrangements, corporate governance, and other strategic and commercial matters.
Before joining Bailey Glasser, Parav was in private practice and served as in-house counsel to a technology venture studio and its portfolio companies, where she advised businesses at various stages of development on transactional, governance, and commercial matters. This experience gives her a practical, business-oriented perspective and informs her approach, with an emphasis on understanding their commercial objectives and delivering solutions that support both immediate transactions and long-term growth.
Parav earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law, and she earned her dual degrees in business administration and law (B.B.A. and LL.B.), with honors, from Nirma University’s Institute of Law in Ahmedabad, India. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and India.
Parav is fluent in English, Gujarati, and Hindi.
Outside of the office, Parav enjoys playing mahjong and traveling to experience new places and cultures.
