Jena L. Borden

Overview

Jena Borden is a lawyer based in our Maryville, Illinois office and focuses her practice representing individuals who have contracted mesothelioma, asbestosis, and other lung diseases caused by exposure to asbestos, a known carcinogen. Jena has a keen understanding of all aspects of asbestos litigation. She began her legal career on the defense side of the litigation, which provided her with unique insight into what it takes to maximize resolution with corporations on the other side of the case.

Jena represents plaintiffs from all over the country with cases filed in the most active court in the nation for asbestos litigation, Madison County, Illinois, as well as other courts in the Illinois and St. Louis, Missouri areas. She has collected millions in settlements for asbestos victims.

For over twenty years, Jena has dedicated her career to plaintiffs injured by products made by companies that put profits over people, which included opening a local office in Madison County for a national firm in order to exclusively represent people stricken with mesothelioma and lung cancer caused by working with asbestos.

Asbestos exposure is the largest cause of occupational cancers in the country, and a significant cause of other diseases and disabilities. Workers exposed to asbestos include teachers, auto mechanics, military personnel, pipefitters, railroad employees, and many others. As a member of Bailey Glasser’s Asbestos and Lung Disease practice, Jena is dedicated to obtaining justice on behalf of individuals – and their families – who have been impacted by this known carcinogen.

The most common asbestos-related diseases include:

  • Mesothelioma of the Lung
  • Mesothelioma of the Stomach
  • Testicular Mesothelioma
  • Lung Cancer
  • Asbestosis
  • Pleural Plaques

Asbestos-related disease can develop in other parts of the body as well. Research has confirmed that asbestos is known to cause the following cancers, and this list is not exhaustive:

  • Colon Cancer
