Francesca Spry

Overview

Francesca Spry is an associate in the London office. She is Australian-qualified, admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Her most recent experience includes work as a human rights consultant at Intersection, research assistant to barristers at Doughty Street Chambers, and associate at the Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. She has also worked as a paralegal at Sparke Helmore Lawyers and Forbes Chambers.

Francesca has served as Associate to the Hon. Justice K Stern and as Tipstaff to the Hon. Justice PLG Brereton AM RFD at the New South Wales Court of Appeal. As a research assistant at Doughty Street Chambers, she contributed drafting and research to an advisory opinion before the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights on African states' human rights obligations in addressing the climate crisis.

She completed a combined Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts in Arabic Languages and Culture at the University of Sydney from 2018 to 2022, graduating with distinction in both degrees and receiving the PD Jack Prize for Arabic Languages and Literature. She went on to complete the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law Australia in 2023–2024, then earned a Master of Laws in International Dispute Resolution at King's College London from 2024 to 2025, passing with distinction and receiving the Dickson Poon School of Law Prize for best student.
