Litigation Associate - Maryville, IL Office

We’re hiring a new litigation associate for our Maryville, Illinois office. This talented and compassionate lawyer will be working with our nationally recognized Mass Torts Practice Group, mostly in the area of institutional abuse litigation. Our lawyers are handling cases across the country on behalf of survivors of abuse, and we are looking for another team member to make a difference.

Our ideal candidate will have at least three years of complex civil litigation experience in federal and state courts. Top-notch writing and strong legal analysis are priorities.

This is an opportunity to thrive in a growing firm with a very collegial environment.  The firm works on some of the most exciting and high-profile cases in the country. The Associate will work primarily on Institutional Sexual Abuse litigation.   

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Superb writing, analytical, research, and technical skills
  • Minimum two-three years’ litigation experience, including discovery, motions practice, and a strong grasp of civil procedure
  • Self-motivation, creativity, efficiency, and a warm, can-do personality
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage large case load
  • Good sense of humor and ability to get along well with others
  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois and Missouri within one (1) year of start date
