Bailey Glasser Announces Elevation of Lorren Patterson to Partner

Bailey Glasser is delighted to announce that corporate attorney Lorren L. Patterson has been elevated to partner.

Lorren Patterson is an integral part of Bailey Glasser’s corporate team in the California and Washington, D.C. offices, regularly leading or assisting with complex transactions and general corporate matters for private and public companies, closely held family businesses, state entities, and business owners in private equity, energy and natural resources, commercial real estate, technology, communications, and other service industries.  Her transactional work involves a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracting, corporate finance, private equity, and other business transactions. Lorren’s practice also includes handling intellectual property matters for her business clients with a focus on practical registration, transfer, licensing, and maintenance.

Lorren’s contributions have led to recognition as a Best Lawyers Ones to Watch in Banking and Finance Law, Closely Held Companies and Family Businesses Law, and Corporate Law in Washington, D.C. in 2024. She was also named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in the District of Columbia in Business/Corporate in 2022 and 2023.

The department has extensive experience representing all categories of participants in M&A transactions, including buyers, sellers, special committees, major stockholders, management and founders, investors, lenders, and investment bankers, and regularly assists established businesses and entrepreneurs in securing capital equity and commercial financing.

Lorren is a vital team member in some of our most complex matters. Notably, she is a member of the Bailey Glasser team that serves as outside general counsel to the West Virginia Investment Management Board (WVIMB), an independent state entity charged with investing over $25 billion of state and local public moneys. Last year, the team assisted the WVIMB in closing over $900 million in investments held in private equity, real estate, hedge and private credit pools.

Lorren’s experience also includes advising organizations making a high impact on their communities. She is a member of the Bailey Glasser team advising an African American-owned sports and entertainment group (AASEG) on corporate matters pertaining to its historic journey to acquire the Oakland Coliseum Complex and bring professional sports teams back to Oakland.
