- Served as lead counsel in consumer class action against H&R Block resulting in $62.5 million multi-state settlement, with $32.5 million designated for West Virginia class
- Counsel for the State of West Virginia in antitrust and consumer protection action against Microsoft Corporation, total settlement value for West Virginians of $21 million
- Settled predatory mortgage lending class action against Provident Bank for $8.1 million, on behalf of 140 class members
- Settled $7 million nationwide class action settlement against Herbalife, alleging violations of the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act
- Brought statewide consumer class action against Rent-A-Center, Inc., and settled for $3.5 million cash, plus other relief and price reductions
- Co-lead counsel in successful six-week jury trial alleging Massey Coal subsidiary damaged groundwater supplies of coalfield residents; total recovery of $3.2 million
- Pursued nationwide class action brought under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act case against SG Sales, Inc.; settled for $2.4 million
- Served as class counsel in ERISA lawsuit against National City Corp. alleging breach of fiduciary duties in managing 401(k) plan, which settled for $43 million
- Won jury trial involving flooding claims of a group of residents against a West Virginia municipality; total recovery in excess of $1 million
- Pursued illegal mortgage loan servicing class action against National City Bank; settled for $700,000 for class of West Virginia consumers
- Brought class action against Jackson Hewitt, Inc. for class of California consumers; settled for $672,000
- Won six-week jury trial against Massey Coal subsidiary alleging nuisance from coal preparation plant; total recovery of approximately $2.4 million, plus injunctive relief valued at more than $10 million
- Appointed co-lead counsel in 2010 in ERISA class action against Wells Fargo & Co. alleging mismanagement of Wells Fargo 401(k) plan, which settled for $17.5 million
- Appointed lead counsel in class action against Ames True Temper, Inc. in case seeking unpaid pension benefits on behalf of members of steelworkers union
