Rodney A. Smith

Rod concentrates his practice on civil litigation and state and federal criminal defense. With a diverse civil practice, Rod has represented clients in cases involving complex commercial litigation, product liability defense, and employment matters. Rod has also represented several criminal defendants charged with a wide range of felony offenses including murder, RICO violations, mail fraud, and distribution of controlled substances. From his experience as a federal law clerk, Rod is especially knowledgeable in the areas of federal civil and criminal procedure as well as the federal appellate process.

Prior to attending law school, Rod worked at a wilderness program counseling at-risk and adjudicated youth and as an academic coordinator for Upward Bound, a college preparation program for low-income high school students.
