Marc R. Weintraub

Marc focuses his practice on wide-ranging commercial and corporate transactions, many of which involve energy production and transportation. His work includes business formation, corporate finance, banking, real estate, mergers and acquisitions and securities compliance. A significant portion of Marc's practice involves the representation of Chinese nationals making investments in the United States. Marc has counseled Chinese investors in numerous transactions with values exceeding tens of millions of dollars and has made presentations to hundreds of people in numerous Chinese cities regarding United States investment opportunities. Marc also represents domestic and international clients expanding or establishing manufacturing facilities in Appalachia.

Marc has experience drafting agreements and contracts for all purposes with specialization in foreign direct investment in the United States as well as energy transactions and project finance. Marc has worked on development agreements for projects located in the United States, Latin America and the Near and Far East. His work has been published in the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation's Annual Journal.

Marc is a member of Charleston's City Council representing the East End historic district and is an adjunct professor at West Virginia University's College of Business and Economics.
