Elizabeth Hoskins Dow

Lissa is one of the firm's two Illinois-based lawyers. A graduate of Yale University and Boston College Law School, Lissa was admitted to practice in Illinois in 1993. She began her career as a business litigation associate in a major Chicago law firm and also practiced in a smaller firm and as a legal aid lawyer prior to joining Bailey & Glasser, handling trial and appellate matters in the Illinois state and federal courts. Her diverse current engagements include work in the areas of real estate, energy and environmental law, regulatory law, and general litigation, including class action matters pending in federal court in Chicago. Lissa is active in a wide range of civic activities in the Chicago area and serves by appointment of the Illinois Supreme Court on the Board of Directors of the Lawyers Trust Fund of Illinois. She has served as an adjunct professor at the University of St. Francis, teaching constitutional law, and at Joliet Junior College, teaching business law.
