Bailey & Glasser Obtains $1.68 Million In Damages For Parkersburg Family In The Circuit Court Of Wood County
After less than two hours of deliberation, a Wood County jury awarded a total of $1.68 million in damages to Andrew and Rejena Buckley and their two minor children for injuries sustained in a serious automobile accident. The collision occurred on Rt. 47 at the intersection with I-77 in Parkersburg, WV in January of 2009. The judgment arises from a 5-day trial before Judge Jeffrey B. Reed that concluded on December 7, 2010.
Bailey & Glasser's trial team consisted of attorneys Benjamin L. Bailey and Robert P. Lorea, with assistance from Rodney A. Smith. “It is a privilege anytime an injured victim trusts you to represent them in a case. However, the struggles that this family endured after the accident supplied plenty of extra motivation in this case. I am happy that we secured this verdict for them, and hope that it will help ease some of the burden of this horrific event” said Lorea. “I was impressed with the close attention the jury paid to our case throughout the trial. I believe that the amount of the judgment, and the speed with which this jury returned its decision reflect the jury's understanding of our case.” The Defendants were represented by Charleston attorney Ed Tiffey, along with Ellen Smith and George Lantz from Parkersburg.
